A work in progress… follow my journey

Remnants will be an immersive exhibition of my paintings, drawings, and memorabilia portraying my Blackland Prairie story; reimagining the once endless Texas tallgrass prairie brimming with a kaleidoscope of wildflowers and wildlife.

I started this journey to learn more about the Blackland Prairie where I currently live. I discovered my ancestors also started their lives on this same land and cast their dreams into the winds of the prairie. An answered prayer, I suppose, that I am here and the continuation of their story and dreams.

I find it compelling to know it took thousands of combinations of ancestors to produce me, so now I breathe in the prairie winds with their inherited strength and hope to fully appreciate this place and feel obligated to live and dream as bravely.

So, come with me and discover the unfolding story of my Blackland Prairie.
